When the Beijing Games close in 2008, London's four-year Cultural Olympiad begins. These four years are a huge opportunity for south London with its wealth of festivals and cultural events - the Croydon Mela, Tooting's Diwali festival of lights, Kingston's Korean festivities in August, the JP Morgan Chase Challenge in Battersea Park, the Wimbledon Championships fortnight and the London Youth Games at Crystal Palace.
This site will publicise festivals and events across south London and let you know about London initiatives to support festivals and cultural events.
