The London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games will create 11,000 new jobs and increase prospects and opportunities for thousands of people and that could include you. There will be opportunities in construction, leisure, hospitality, tourism, volunteering, transport, service industries and the media. Staging the Games requires 90,000 people, of whom 70,000 will be volunteers performing over 3,000 different roles. Like the athletes on the track, if you want to take part, you have to turn up with the right skills and experience.

This site will provide tips and information on how to get involved, help you access information about jobs and volunteering, provide information about training and promote the importance and value of volunteering in south London.
